Try vncserver -depth 24 or -depth 16. I use 16 for VmWare and 24 for other
    applications which need higher resolution.

                    Subject: Wine 'emulator' and VNC

I have a linux server and an NT client. I have found that
    some programs
which have have been ported to Linux using Wine (the windows
    'emulator') do
not display properly on the VNC viewer (eg Corel Photopaint,
    Deneba Canvas).
Basically I cannot use them at all. The program appears to
    start fine, but
when opening an image, all I get on the viewer is a black
    box. Anyone ideas
why or how to solve it?
